Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
I have learnt so much since the beginning of creating my OTS. I have learnt a lot about directing a film and how much time editing, filming, creating, writing a project can take and that I need to improve on my time managment, as this was my first time woring completley by myself (aside from the actor in the film).
I think the biggest thing I have learnt is how to edit in a basic fashion, however, I feel I picked it up fairly quickyl and taught myself quite well, especially in terms of creating titles and transitions into different shots.
In terms of the narrative, I need to improve on creating a full plot, as I find it quite difficult to flesh out an entire story, epecially when I'm only creating the opening title sequence of said film, however, I will hopefully improve on this in future projects. I definetley have a sense of style, but am not restricted to it, and am willing to do different genres and styles of film in the future, however, for this particular one I knew that I wanted it to be dark and modern, with some science-fiction elements in there.
As this was my first time working by myself, I could definitley notice the difference between working in a group for the continuity task; I obviously had much more creative control and I could work at my own pace and make sure I was happy with all the decisions, have control over where I shot, how, which music to use etc.
